Operations Committee

Overview

The Operations Committee represents Community homeowners, the Board of Directors, and the General Manager in the management and operation of community common property (Clubhouse, swimming pools, sidewalks, stormwater ponds, recreational amenities, etc.). Responsibility is shared with the Landscape and Irrigation Committee which monitors "living" community property (landscape, bushes, and trees), in addition to the irrigation system.

What we do for Symphony Village:

• Provide input and recommendations to the General Manager and the Board of Directors in preparation of plans for the maintenance and upkeep of community property, and provide assistance for the evaluation and execution of approved maintenance plans

• Assist the General Manager in the evaluation of contract service bids and provide applicable recommendations for approval of such contract services.

• Provide the General Manager and the Budget and Finance Committee input and recommendations regarding the execution of funding requirements for maintenance for the current year and recommendations for the preparation of the next year’s budget.

• Review the Symphony Village Replacement Reserve Study for completeness and accuracy.

• Provide applicable reports to the Board of Directors and community residents during monthly meetings.

• Conduct monthly committee meetings; provide meeting minutes to the General Manager for posting to the SV website.

• Provide recommendations for proposals requiring approval by the Board of Directors.

• Responsible for reviewing all security aspects of the Symphony Village Clubhouse and, upon request, generating recommendations for new or improved security procedures and requirements.
