Lunch Bunch—A Local Queen Anne’s County Event
The Tavern at Queenstown Harbor Golf Course—Lunch with a little history!
Over the years, the Lunch Bunch has lunched in many different locations in Maryland—Centreville, Kent Narrows, Kent Island, Chesapeake City, Georgetown, Easton, Denton, Annapolis, Hurlock, Chestertown, St. Michaels, Oxford, Edgewater, Arnold, Grasonville, Cambridge, and Severna Park. We also traveled out-of-state to a restaurant in Odessa, Delaware. Our goal has been to enjoy good food and the company of our good friends in Symphony Village. Many of the restaurants are located on scenic waterways throughout the State of Maryland.
The Lunch Bunch is happy to announce its first visit to the Tavern at the Queenstown Harbor Golf Course on September 10 at 12:30 p.m. It was only recently that we were made aware of this local destination so close to home by some of our regular Lunch Bunch attendees. The ride is short. Just travel west on Route 301 toward Queenstown and make a right hand turn onto Maryland Route 18 across from the Queenstown Harbor. The Tavern is located in the heart of the golf course at 310 Links Lane. This very scenic road is bustling with golfing activity; take note of the various golf cart crossings and people crossing the street when driving through the golf course.
The History
The history of the Queenstown Harbor land goes back to the 1600s when Henry deCoursey was granted the scenic land with beautiful water ways and used as a dairy farm until the land was developed as a golf course in the 1970s. Take a few minutes to learn more about the history by visiting the Queenstown Harbor Website. You can also peruse the Tavern Menu.
