Is Lifestyle an official HOA Committee?

Yes, Lifestyle is a HOA committee with roles and responsibilities defined in the Terms of Reference.

Who plans social activities?

Most of the social events are planned by Lifestyle. In 2022 the committee has also taken the lead in organizing numerous charitable events. Lifestyle events are publicized on our webpages. Ladies Happy Hour and Lunch Bunch are not Lifestyle-planned or Lifestyle-sponsored events.

Does Lifestyle have an HOA budget?

Yes. Although Lifestyle is primarily self-supporting, the committee does support do support the Artisan’s Guild, the Night of Lights (Soup Night), the quarterly Birthday Social Hours, and a variety of other events with the Board of Directors approval.

Can Lifestyle organize bus trips?

Bus trips are not currently being sponsored due to uncertainties about liability. This policy may be reconsidered pending clarification by the HOA insurer.

Are there fees associated with using the Clubhouse?

The Clubhouse can be reserved for different types of activities or events (all of which need to be scheduled with Village Management), some of which require fees.

β€’ Residents hosting activities or events for only other residents are not charged fees. To alleviate scheduling conflicts, resident hosting/holding resident-only Clubhouse activities are required to complete an Activity Request Form to reserve space in the Clubhouse.

β€’ Symphony Sneakers and Symphony Village Outreach, both 501(c) 3 entities, are exempt from having to pay a fee for the use of the Clubhouse for their fundraising activities.

β€’ A celebration of life event may be held for a deceased SVHOA homeowner at the facility at no charge. This courtesy is only extended for a deceased SVHOA homeowner.
