Hazardous Tree Management and Map

The Symphony Village HOA is also responsible for trees, from a safety perspective, in the perimeter areas that surround most of Symphony Village.  These areas are considered as a โ€œwetland regionโ€ and therefore are to be maintained under strict government regulations and guidance.  For that reason, we must periodically check all perimeter trees within these locations for any that may be decaying or broken and could therefore possibly endanger residential personal or property.

It is recommended that every three years, we complete a full inspection of each of these perimeter trees.  Symphony Village is required to employ a Maryland licensed arborist, certified in Tree Risk Assessment.  The inspections are to be done in the winter when the trees are bare and the visibility is improved.  The Town of Centreville must also be appraised of this work as well as the eventual outcome.  In the event any trees requiring remediation, pruning or removal are uncovered, Symphony Village must inform the Town and obtain permission before beginning any actual work on these trees.  With that consent, Symphony Village then hires an appropriate Tree Service Contractor to perform the necessary tasks.

Of course, at any time if a tree represents an immediate danger, a report should be provided to the Symphony Village Management and action will be taken.

The last full perimeter inspection was done in 2019 and the following Link will open up the Aerial Map of the village and the surrounding tree lines.  The included Legend is in reference to any pruning requirements.
