Tuckahoe Habitat for Humanity Seeking Volunteers

Tuckahoe Habitat for Humanity (HFH) serves Queen Anne’s and Caroline Counties by building and selling homes for deserving families.  This is accomplished through the hard work and dedication of the homeowners, (their “sweat equity” requirement), as well as volunteers.
Tuckahoe HFH is looking for volunteers – no experience necessary!  The Construction Manager, John, gives a Toolkit Safety Talk and provides everyone with a hardhat and safety goggles.  The day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends by 3 p.m., but volunteers can tailor their time to suit their needs.
Suzette Kelly (AmeriCorps Volunteer, Volunteer Maryland, and Tuckahoe HFH) has offered to arrange a visit by Tuckahoe HFH to SV to give an overview of the organization and a volunteer orientation/presentation (please let Linda Blume know if you’d be interested in attending such a presentation).
Or you may volunteer by going to the website and clicking on Volunteer - Sign Up for a Workday.  You may also call the office at 410-479-9200 or call Ms. Kelly at 443-786-0672.
