2026 BOARD OF DIRECTORS SECOND NOMINATION FORM

To: Symphony Village Homeowners

From: Symphony Village HOA Management

Subject: HOA Board of Directors Election & Resignation Vacancy – 2026

Following his election to the Town of Centreville Town Council on Monday, October 5, 2026, Board of Directors President David B. Mason, Sr. (“Dave”) has resigned from the Symphony Village HOA Board of Directors, as required by the Town. His resignation is effective today, Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Dave’s volunteerism on Board of Directors over the past three years, including serving as President this year, is sincerely appreciated. We thank him for his service to the community and wish him well in his new role on the Town Council.

Pursuant to the Articles of Incorporation of the Symphony Village Homeowners Association of Centreville, Inc., the vacancy created by Dave’s resignation shall be filled by special election at a Meeting of the Members. Due to the timing of the resignation, the special election will be held in conjunction with the regular Board of Directors Election scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Members.

One Director elected to fill a vacancy will serve the remainder of Dave’s original term, which runs through December 2027.

As a result, three (3) Board positions will be filled in the December 2026 election:

  • Two (2) two-year terms for the positions currently held by Tom Meringolo and John Athas, whose terms expire in December 2026; and

  • One (1) one-year term to fill the remainder of the term associated with Dave Mason’s resignation.

The election will take place at Annual Meeting of Members, scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Voting may also be completed in advance by submitting an Absentee Proxy and Ballot, which you will receive prior to the meeting. Election results will be announced as soon as they are available.

This form provides homeowners with the opportunity to submit a nomination for themselves or for another homeowner who they believe is well-suited to represent the community, demonstrates respect for others, and has shown the ability to work well as part of a team. All nominations will remain confidential until all candidates have been contacted and confirmed.
